An underwater crude oil pipeline in Alaska sprung a leak on Monday, in the middle of a habitat for the critically endangered Cook Inlet beluga whale population. The company that owns the pipeline, Hilcorp Energy, claims that fewer than 10 gallons of oil escaped.
