Bordeaux Mayor Alain Juppe conceded his defeat in Sunday’s runoff of the center-right primaries and wished his challenger a victory next May.
Fillon won the primary with ~70% of votes. Fillon advocates cooperation and reconciliation with Russia and is against unchecked immigration and excessive EU centralization.
